Plainview, NY (August 27, 2008) - A talented trio from the Long Island Rough Riders Women's Team will be heading to Tampa, FL, this weekend to participate in the inaugural USL W-League Combine.
Brooke DeRosa, Kristen Habenicht and W-League "Defender of the Year" Sue Weber, along with 125 other players, will perform for a crowd of general managers and coaches from the new Women's Professional Soccer League (WPSL) at the Ed Radice Sports Complex September 4-7.

August 20, 2008 (Plainview, NY) - The Missouri Athletic Club has announced its 2008 Hermann Trophy Watch List, and three members of the Long Island Rough Riders Men's Team have been inlcuded in the list of 48 players released on Tuesday.
Mike Grella from Duke University, Conor O'Brien from Bucknell and John Pardini from Fordham were named to the prestigious list.

Weber Named USL W-League Defender of the Year

Virginia Beach, VA (August 1, 2008) - Long Island Rough Riders defender Sue Weber was named W-League defender of the year at the United Soccer Leagues' Championship Banquet Friday night.
Weber anchored a defense that tied for fourth in the league with only seven goals allowed in 14 games this season in what was arguably the most competitive division of the league.
