Plainview, NY (August 27, 2008) - A talented trio from the Long Island Rough Riders Women's Team will be heading to Tampa, FL, this weekend to participate in the inaugural USL W-League Combine.

Brooke DeRosa, Kristen Habenicht and W-League "Defender of the Year" Sue Weber, along with 125 other players, will perform for a crowd of general managers and coaches from the new Women's Professional Soccer League (WPSL) at the Ed Radice Sports Complex September 4-7.

Long Island Rough Riders defender Sue Weber Friday was named W-League defender of the year.

The Long Island defense was tied for fourth in the league with only seven goals allowed in 14 games this season in what was arguably the most competitive division of the league.
