Plainview, N.Y. (September 9, 2009) - Michael Palacio, a member of the 2007 and 2009 Long Island Rough Riders men’s team signed with Serbian club FK Radnicki Obrenoav.

Palacio made 26 appearances for the the Rough Riders scoring eight goals and assisting on four other. The Long Beach, N.Y. native was also a three-time All-America East first team player while at Stony Brook University.

"We’re very happy to see Mike has signed on with a European club. He came back from a very tough knee injury and played at an extremely high level for us this past season," said Rough Riders General Manager Flavio Ferri.

A former supplemental pick of the NY Red Bull (MLS) in 2008, Palacio joins Mike Grella (Leeds United, England) as two recent former Rough Riders who are now plying their trade in Europe.
