The Long Island Rough Riders have been announced as an official Youth Affiliate Club to New York City FC, Major League Soccer’s 20th team and sister club to Manchester City FC. The affiliation with New York City FC will provide Rough Riders players with unprecedented training and playing opportunities.
“We are very proud to be affiliated with New York City FC” said Rough Riders President, Peter Zaratin. “The affiliation will not only benefit the Rough Riders, but will be a positive for the Long Island soccer community as a whole.”
Through the relationship with New York City FC, Rough Rider coaches and players will have the opportunity to work with renowned soccer coaches and training staff, providing support, know-how and resources.
From community programs, to youth development, scouting, coaching, sports science and first team football operations; the Rough Riders will have an unprecedented level of access to world-class soccer expertise.
Rough Rider players will also have access to the structured coaching and renowned curriculum of the New York City FC.
