Long Island Rough Riders forward Arthur Bosua signed with the Charleston Battery of the USL Championship, the club announced.
Bosua made his Battery debut in the 1-1 season-opening draw against Ottawa Fury FC on March 9, coming on as a substitute in the 74th minute.
The 6-foot-3 forward joined Charleston following a successful four-year career at Columbia University where he scored 27 goals and added 12 assists.
He was a two-time Ivy League Offensive Player of the Year (2016 & ’17) and earned all-conference honors three times during his collegiate career.
Bosua was an integral part in the Rough Riders’ 2017 PDL campaign, scoring a team-leading seven goals and adding four assists to help propel Long Island to the 2017 PDL Eastern Conference Final. He was one of 60 players to attend the 2018 Major League Soccer Player Combine in Orlando ahead of the MLS SuperDraft.
Bosua had one goal in two games in 2018 for Long Island, scoring in the 5-1 win against Evergreen FC on June 2.
He is the seventh player from the 2018 Rough Riders to continue his career professionally.
