Having performed with great distinction for St John’s University over the last weekend current Rough Riders Women’s goalkeeper Diana Poulin has been awarded the Big East Goalkeeper of the Week award. The award was gained following back-to-back clean sheets in 1-0 victories over Syracuse University and Colgate University. Over the course of the two game, Poulin recorded four saves against Syracuse and five saves against Colgate. This included a dramatic penalty kick save in the 70th minute of the game against Colgate to ensure that St Johns walked away with the victory.
Poulin continues to impress in the division and has previously won the Big East Goalkeeper of the Year last year whilst also being named the Big East Preseason Goalkeeper of the year.
Poulin has been registered as a goalkeeper with the Rough Riders for multiple seasons now and it is great to see her reach top form again after injuries interrupted her season with the Rough Riders.
