The Long Island Rough Riders are moving for the 2018 season, and you can come along for the ride. Following a home doubleheader on May 19 at Michael J. Tully Park, the men’s and women’s teams will be playing at the Hofstra University Soccer Stadium for the remainder of the campaign.
Ticket plans are as affordable as ever whether you’re interested in single-game tickets or our season flex package. Youth general admission tickets are $8 per game, while adult tickets are $10. Season flex plans are $40 for youth and $50 for adults.
Be sure to enhance your gameday experience with various opportunities offered through the Rough Riders’ experience packages. A Tunnel Ticket ($12) for kids ages 5-16 allows for unprecedented access to the players by greeting them as they come onto the field before the match. Escort the players onto the field and stand with them during the national anthem as part of the Dream Team ($180 for 12 tickets). Kids ages 9-16 can get the best view in the house as a member of the Ball Kids ($200 for 11 tickets) for either a men’s or women’s game.
The Rough Riders also offer customized packages for clubs interested in all of the in-game experiences.
“Our goal is to provide our fans with a unique and fun experience while supporting our men’s and women’s programs,” Rough Riders general manager Pedro Suarez said. “We want to create the full gameday experience, especially at our new home at Hofstra University, memorable for everyone involved.”
Long Island’s men’s team went 10-2-5 last season, finishing runner-up in the PDL Eastern Conference Northeast Division. The Rough Riders defeated Mid-Atlantic Division winners New York Red Bulls Under-23 in a conference play-in game. Long Island then beat the Myrtle Beach Mutiny, winners of the South Division, in the conference semifinals before losing on penalty kicks to eventual PDL champion Charlotte in the Eastern Conference Final.
The women’s team went 8-2-2 under first-year head coach Adam Whitehead en route to the UWS Eastern Conference title and berth in the UWS National Championship Semifinal. The Rough Riders, who scored an East Division-leading 35 goals during the regular season and tied for the second-best defense (10 goals allowed), lost on penalty kicks to eventual UWS champion Grand Rapids FC in the national semifinal.
