Striker clinics are for players looking to develop strong shooting and finishing techniques while learning how to think with an attacking mindset all over the field.
Players will learn: in-step (laces) shot, turning, shielding, playing with their back to goal, decision making in 2v1 and 1v1 situations as well as when to use a power vs. finesse method to score.
From one-time finishing to creative volleying, players learn the required mechanics and disciplines to consistently score goals and finish at different angles by anticipating the goalkeeper’s position as well as master technique.
We continue to use the utmost caution when it comes to the health and safety of everyone. We have been following guidelines recommended by the CDC and the NY State Department of Health. You can view our COVID-19 protocols and safety measures here.
A Clinic is conducted once a week for a period of 8-10 weeks. Each Clinic focuses on a different set of skills and development within the game of soccer.
How are the players grouped?
Each participant is grouped based on age, however, if a player shows exceptional ability he/she may be moved to an older group if they desire. This is at the coaches discretion.
What Clinic do we recommend?
It is highly encouraged that clinic participants enroll in a Total Training clinic prior to registering for a specific skill clinic (i.e Striker or Futsal) due to the prerequisite technical building blocks learned in Total Training classes.
Who are the Clinic Instructors?
Clinic instructors are licensed and/or have playing experience ranging from top college programs, US National Team, Major League Soccer and/or professional leagues overseas.
What should one bring to a Clinic class?
All clinic participants are required to bring and wear shin guards.
A soccer ball is not needed as clinic participants will be provided during the duration of each class.
Turf shoes and/or flat bottom soccer shoes are required for our indoor clinics.
