Former Rough Riders defender Georgia Kearny-Perry has impressed whilst in action for the St John’s University Women’s team. Kearny-Perry was awarded a place on the Big East Weekly Honor Role following two impressive defensive performances that saw St John’s claim two shut outs over Syracuse University and Colgate University. The two shut outs this weekend now mean that it has been 4 consecutive games since St John’s have conceded a goal.
Kearny-Perry is currently the reigning Big East Division’s Defensive Player of the Year and with continued stellar performances like this week has the chance to retain the award this season.
Kearny-Perry was part of the Rough Riders Women’s roster in 2014 prior to playing for St John’s University.
