The Long Island Rough Riders, the exclusive USL League Two affiliate of New York City FC, extended their unbeaten streak to nine games following a 0-0 draw against Evergreen FC on July 6 at Hofstra University Soccer Stadium in Hempstead, N.Y.

Long Island improves to 5-1-6 (21 points) after the result, while Evergreen FC is now 0-8-4 (4 points). The Rough Riders remain in second place in the Mid Atlantic Division standings, trailing unbeaten Reading United AC (8-0-3; 27 points) by six points with two games remaining.

Josh Levine made three saves in the shutout as Long Island recorded its fifth scoreless result this season.

The Rough Riders, who haven’t lost since May 22, return to action on Friday, July 12 against Cedar Stars Rush. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m. from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, N.J.
