The Long Island Rough Riders, exclusive USL League Two affiliate of New York City FC, extended their unbeaten streak to 10 games following a 1-1 draw against Cedar Stars Rush on July 12 at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, N.J.

Long Island improves to 5-1-7 (22 points) following the result, while league newcomers Cedar Stars move to 4-6-4 (14 points) heading into the regular-season finale.

The Rough Riders took a 1-0 lead in the 42nd minute on a goal by Matt Sloan, who leads the team with six. Manu Ferriol had the assist.

Long Island maintained its advantage at the interval, but Cedar Stars equalized in the 79th minute on a goal by Ronaldo Arevalo.

The Rough Riders conclude their 2019 campaign at Ocean City Nor’easters (6-3-4; 22 points) on July 14. Kickoff is 7 p.m. from Carey Stadium in Ocean City, N.J.
