In conjunction with our next PDL and UWS double-header this Sunday, June 5th, the Long Island Rough Riders are proud to announce our newest partnership with Munin Sports. Fusing quality soccer rebounder products with modern smartphone technology, Munin Sports has been part of the training regimes of clubs like Arsenal, Real Madrid and Benfica. The partnership with the Rough Riders is just another step in enhancing the development possibilities for all players on Long Island.
“Our aim is to use new technology to take the training in soccer clubs and private gardens to a digital level that children and teenagers can understand. When it comes to applying technology to measuring the physical progress of soccer players, soccer has changed a great deal. But as we ourselves are soccer players and feel most alive when we have a ball at our feet, we have chosen to focus on technical developments.”
During the Junior Rough Rider event at the double-header this weekend, fans will have the chance to interact with this high-quality technology. The action begins with the men’s PDL game at 3pm versus AC Connecticut, followed by the UWS squad against the Lancaster Inferno at 5:30pm.
“We want to give players at all ages and at all skill levels the fantastic feeling of being able to control the ball. We want to give them the opportunity to go out there on the training ground or into the garden and train all the fun technical elements of soccer. Volleys, headers, first touches, overhead kicks and all the other moves that passionate soccer players love.”
As part of the event all in attendance will have the option to purchase a rebounder at a 25% discount.
Both games will be at Cy Donnelly stadium at Saint Anthony’s High School in South Huntington and tickets can be purchased at http://18.104.22.168/~liroughriders
