The Long Island Rough Riders defeated divisional rivals AC Connecticut 4 – 1 Saturday night extending their unbeaten streak to 4 games. The win keeps the Rough Riders in a tie for 2nd place in the Northeast Division. The Rough Riders scored 3 goals in the second half Saturday evening, en route to a 4-1 victory against AC Connecticut. In an aggressive second half effort, Arthur Bosua scored the first goal for the Rough Riders after 63 scoreless minutes. Just 4 minutes later, Daniel Bedoya scored off of a free kick to take the lead, shortly followed by another goal from Arthur Bosua off of a counter attack. With less than 2 minutes to play, Daniel Bedoya scored his second goal of the game to cushion the lead. The Rough Riders spent much of the second half in their offensive territory, taking 12 shots to the visitors 2. The late surge clinched the Rough Riders third straight win as they look to continue their quest in a rematch on the road against AC Connecticut on Sunday at 6 PM.
