The Rough Riders fought back in a highly contested match up last night against Westchester Flames at City Stadium in New Rochelle. The Rough Riders fell behind late in the first half on a strike from outside the box from Flames forward, Joey Devivo. Needing the win to keep pace with the Northeast Division leaders, the Rough Riders surged forward in the second half. They finally broke through mid-way through the half on a goal from Dom Marshall, his team leading 4th goal of the season. The goal was set up after a surging run from midfielder Colin Murphy who beat a couple of players and laid it off to Marshall who calmly placed his shot in the far corner. The Rough Riders were not done, they secured the much needed 3 points on an 82nd minute goal by Tyler Botte on a volley crossed in by Dom Marshall. The win moves the Rough Riders to 4th place in the much contested Northeast Division.
