The Long Island Rough Riders today are pleased to announce the additions of David Charnley, Adam Cooper, and Jake Rogers to the organization’s coaching staff.
The trio will be involved with Camps and Summer Select programs. Charnley will be the head coach of the High School Select boys while cross performing as the Facility Manager at the Rough Riders Indoor Training Facility – Globall Indoor Center. Cooper is the head coach of both the 2010 boys and 2006/07 boys teams, while Rodgers will be in charge of the 2011 boys and 2008 boys.
“We are delighted to add three experienced and knowledgeable coaches to our technical staff this summer for our Camps and Summer Select programs,” Rough Riders Technical Director Scott Maloney said. “David, Adam, and Jake will be valuable resources in the development of our youth players this summer.”
Charnley previously served as the Match Day Operations Manager at Aldershot Town FC in Hampshire, England. Cooper is a former coach at Bolton Wanderers Community Trust as well as the Manchester City FC Development Center in Bolton, England. Rodgers has experience coaching players aged 4-14 at Premier Football Coaching Schools in England.
With 20 years of camp experience, the Rough Riders offer camps of all varieties from ball mastery to futsal and goalkeeper training to aid a player’s development in any and all aspects of their game.
The Summer Select program is 10 weeks from June through August with weekly training sessions, a four-day team camp (July 9-12), and local and regional tournament competition.
