Rough Riders End Weekend With a Loss

The Long Island Rough Riders capped off a 2 game road trip with a disappointing 4 – 1 loss to the GPS Portland Phoenix Sunday at Deering H. S.

Despite possession being relatively equal, the Phoenix made the most of their chances. The Rough Riders return to action Wednesday night when they take on division rivals FC Boston at Cy Donnelly Stadium on the campus of St. Anthony’s H.S. at 7:30pm.

The Rough Riders will kick off again, against FC Boston one Wednesday June 29th. The men are looking to protect home field after losing to FC Boston away. The Rough Riders lost that game 3-2 and will look to shut down Boston’s key man, Mohamed Kenawy. Kenway leads FC Boston in goals and assits and scored a brace in the previous match up. A win for the Rough Riders can move them into fourth in the table.
