There are plenty of players from the Long Island Rough Riders organization who are playing collegiately this year.
Here’s an update on how they’ve fared through the NCAA regular season this fall.
Robin Afamefuna
University of Virginia, Junior, Defense/Midfield
Afamefuna started 15 games for the Cavaliers. Scored first goal of the season in 4-1 win at Clemson on Oct. 12. Had 10 shots (four on goal).
Allyson Baner
Stony Brook University, Senior, Defense
Baner started 18 matches for the Seawolves, who lost 2-0 to UMass Lowell in the America East semifinals on Oct. 28.
Jacob Bohm
Fordham University, Sophomore, Defense
Bohm had five appearances (two starts) for the Rams this fall.
Nathaniel Crofts
University of Virginia, Sophomore, Forward
Crofts had two goals and six assists in 15 games (all starts) for the Cavaliers. Had two assists in 3-0 win against Denver on Oct. 8, and added another pair of helpers in the 4-1 win at Clemson on Oct. 12.
Alexander Dexter
University of Pittsburgh, Sophomore, Forward
Dexter had 18 appearances (13 starts) this season for the Panthers. Has two goals and five assists, including one of each in a 3-2 win against Temple on Oct. 15.
Kelsey Daugherty
University of Alabama-Birmingham, Senior, Goalkeeper
Daugherty made 92 saves in 18 games (0.99 goals against average) for UAB this season with six shutouts. Made a season-high 11 saves against Memphis on Aug. 30. Named Conference USA’s Goalkeeper of the Year and to C-USA First Team. Holds UAB career record for saves.
Cornell Holland
College of Charleston, Senior, Midfield
Holland had 15 appearances (five starts) this season. Has two goals and one assist. Scored in 2-1 win against Northeastern on Oct. 20.
Robert Leamey
UMass Amherst, Freshman, Goalkeeper
Leamey did not make an appearance this season.
Kaitlin Loughren
Stony Brook University, Senior, Defense
Loughren started 19 games for the Seawolves this season. Recorded two assists.
Jørgen Oland
Fordham University, Junior, Defense
Oland started 16 games for the Rams. Had five goals, including a three-match scoring streak from Sept. 3-12. Had 28 shots (10 on goal).
Kyle Perno
Penn State University, Junior, Forward
Perno appeared in eight matches (one start) this season for the Nittany Lions. Had six shots.
Kayla Saager
Binghamton University, Senior, Forward
Saager had 11 goals and a team-high five assists in 18 starts this season for the Bearcats; her 27 points are second best in the America East. Was named to the America East second team all-conference.
Kerianne Scorce
Adelphi University, Junior, Forward
Scorce had 10 goals and three assists (23 points) in 16 matches. Has 60 shots (36 on goal). Named to the Northeast-10 All-Conference First Team for the first time in her career.
Matt Sloan
American University, Sophomore, Defense
Sloan had one goal and two assists in 18 appearances this season.
Francesca Venezia
Boston College, Junior, Forward
Venezia has five appearances for the Eagles this season. Has three shots (one on goal).
Daniel Vitiello
University of Albany, Redshirt Senior, Goalkeeper
Vitiello had 57 saves in 18 games this season (1.24 goals against average). Set a program record for wins in the 2-1 victory against Brown on Sept. 9.
Harrison Weilbacher
Binghamton University, Senior, Midfield
Weilbacher had 16 appearances (14 starts) this season. Had an assist in the 2-0 win against Hartford on Sept. 22.
