Rough Riders to take on F.A. Euro
May 2015

PLAINVIEW, N.Y. – The Rough Riders men will resume USL PDL competition on Saturday May 23 at 7.30 PM, when they go on the road to take on F.A. Euro.  The game will be held at Belson Stadium on the campus of St. John’s University.

The Rough Riders started the PDL season strong with two consecutive victories. F.A. Euro is coming off a 3 – 1 defeat to the New York Red Bulls in their PDL season opener.

In the 2014 USL PDL Season, the Rough Riders finished 3rd in the Mid Atlantic Division while F.A. Euro finished 7th.  The Rough Riders managed to take victory in both games played by these two local rivals last season.

“We are coming off a tough loss in the U.S. Open Cup,” said Rough Riders General Manager Flavio Ferri.  “We need to dust ourselves off and put in a determined effort against a quality opponent to earn 3 points in our first away match of the season.”

The Rough Riders are heading into the game with immense expectations after a painful elimination by Real Monarch’s in the 2015 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup this past Wednesday.

The next Rough Riders home game will be held on Saturday, May 30 on the campus of Westhampton Beach High School when they take on D.C. United during an exciting double header at 7:30 pm.
