Congratulations to our USL Super-20 team, the Rough Riders PDL Reserve team, on qualifying for the 2015 Playoffs.

After drawing against New York Magic earlier this season, the Rough Riders took home a great 8 – 2 win in the rematch at Kissena Park this past Tuesday. Brendan Reardan scored the first Rough Riders goal of the day before adding a second goal later in the game. Junior Rosero and Shane McLaughlin both added 2 goals while Matt Giaconelli and Daniel Friend added one.

“Our division was very competitive and our team put in their best effort this season,” said coach Dayna Mandolese. “The hard work of our players paid off and I can say that every player contributed to our record. We are looking forward to representing the Long Island Rough Riders in the Super 20 National Tournament.”

Even though Beachside SC of CT and the Long Island Rough Riders are tied in points for the Northeastern Division Championships, Beachside takes home the title, having won both matches of these two opponents this season. Nevertheless, the Long Island Rough Riders will go to Bradenton, Florida to compete in for the 2015 USL Super-20 Championships on the fields of IMG Academy.
