The Long Island Rough Riders will have a busy weekend at Cy Donnelly Stadium with three matches this weekend. The action starts Friday when the Men host first place, GPS Portland Phoenix at 7:30PM. The Rough Riders are looking for a bounce back win, after a tough loss to AC Connecticut. GPS Portland will be no easy task for the Rough Riders. The last time the two teams met Portland gained three points in a 4-1 victory. The Rough Riders will look for Junior Rosero to lead the offense, entering the game scoring three goals in his last two matches.
The Rough Riders will pick it back up the next day against the Seacoast United Phantoms at 7:30PM. The Rough Riders will look to gain ground on the third place, Phantoms with a win. The Rough Riders are currently fifth in the table but a pair of wins can move them into third.
Before the Men take the field Saturday, the Women will host the New England Mutiny at 5PM. The Rough Riders last loss came against the Mutiny but have picked up seven points in the three games since. A win for the Rough Riders will move them past the New England Mutiny and into second in the table.
