YOUTH PROGRAMS

There are 4 team programs to choose from:
PRE-ACADEMY  |  SELECT |  FUTSAL |  CHAMPIONS

The Long Island Rough Riders have 20+ years of soccer experience on Long Island. Our team programs can supplement a player’s development  in a competitive year round or seasonal club-like environment.

Pre-Academy - Performance / Competitive

PRE-ACADEMY – Boys & Girls / U7-U14

Individuals who are chosen for a Pre-Academy team become a part of an elite player community representing all of Long Island. Rough Riders Pre-Academy teams participate in local, regional, and national competitions and receive professional training on a year-round basis.

Select - Seasonal / Competitive

SELECT – Boys & Girls / U7-U18

The Long Island Rough Riders Select is a 10 week youth development program that includes weekly training and tournament competition.

The select program is broken out into Winter Select and Summer Select and is supplement to a player’s primary club team. These programs are designed to provide quality training and competition in between the fall and spring seasons. Training is geared toward developing the technical, tactical, physical and mental elements of the game.

Champions - Developmental

CHAMPIONS – Boys & Girls / 4 – 6 (U5 – U7) 

The Long Island Rough Riders Champions program is a youth development platform for our youngest players. 

The Champions program is a year-round program focusing on building a foundation for youth players to develop a passion for the game. Designed to provide fun, appropriate, exciting yet challenging skill training and appropriate game competitions at a critical age for a player’s soccer development.

*Minimum Age Requirement: Participants must be 5 years old at the time of the program.

Futsal - Seasonal / Competitive

FUTSAL – Boys & Girls / U7-U18

The Long Island Rough Riders Futsal is a 10 week youth development program that includes weekly training and tournament competition.

The Futsal program is broken out into Winter Select and Summer Select and is supplement to a player’s primary club team. These programs are designed to provide quality training and competition in between the fall and spring seasons. Futsal, a modified form of soccer played with five players per side on a a smaller field, typically indoor, provides an excellent platform for players to develop their skills by getting maximum touches on the ball in a confined area (under pressure).
