Summer Select

Returning 2021, the Summer Select program is 6 weeks in duration with weekly training sessions, a 4-day team camp, and local and regional tournament competition. Practices are held on weeknights in July and August. We aim to provide at least 2 tournament competitions for each player within the program.

Bethpage State Park – Polo Grounds

Team Camp: Our Summer Select Program also includes a 4-day team camp which enables head coaches to work closely with the team before the tournament competition begins.

Long Island Rough Riders Winter Select ProgramWinter Select

The Winter Select program is 10 weeks in duration with weekly training sessions along with local and regional tournament competition. Teams train indoors at one of our two indoor facilities. We aim to provide at least 2 tournament competitions for each player within the program throughout the 10 weeks.

Training Days: Saturdays *weekday for some U13+ teams

Training Times: Mid-week sessions: 5:30p-8:30p  | Saturdays between 9am-5pm.

Training Duration: 1 hour

Training Dates: December through to March

Locations: Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds (U7-U18)

Program Cost:  $395 (includes training, facility and administrative fees)
Uniform and Tournament fees not included.

Our Select teams will be implementing calendar year age grouping for player registration in accordance with the new US Club Soccer Youth Guideline.


Player Trials are invitational only player evaluations. They are only conducted if Rough Riders teams are looking to increase or enhance their team’s talent pool prior to the next scheduled Open Tryout.

Trials occur in-season. They are open to a set limit of trial participants during a regular scheduled team training session.  Trial participant evaluation are made directly by the Rough Riders team’s coaching staff followed by one of the trail sessions.
