Rough Riders Sign Four Key New Additions

As the Rough Riders prepare for the upcoming season, they are excited to welcome a group of new signings that bring impressive talent and potential to the team. With a mix of international experience and standout collegiate performances, these players are expected to make a significant impact on the field. Here’s a closer look at the newest additions:

Cianole Nguepissi
A sophomore at San Diego State University, Nguepissi earned a spot on the Western Athletic Conference All-Freshman Team last fall. Standing 6’3″ and weighing 195 lbs, this defender hails from Cameroon. Nguepissi previously captained the West Bromwich Albion squad that won the 2022 Premier League 2 Cup, showcasing his leadership and ability to compete at the highest level.

Max Voigt
Voigt joins the Rough Riders after an impressive freshman season at the University of New Hampshire in 2024, where he was named America East Rookie of the Year and earned a spot on the league’s second team. A native of Oberkotzau, Germany, Voigt has also represented his country at the U-15 and U-17 levels and played for VfB Stuttgart and RB Leipzig’s youth teams, captaining the latter in both 2021 and 2023.

Patrick Osiecki
A midfielder from Monmouth University, Osiecki is ready to make an impact with the Rough Riders. The 5’10” Connecticut native scored four goals and added one assist last season. A two-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree (2023, 2024), Osiecki also had a standout high school career, tallying 83 goals at Holy Cross High School.

Jack Stainrod
Stainrod, a Barnsley, England native, played a key role in Dalton State’s NAIA soccer championship victory last year. The 6’2″ forward has been a consistent goal-scorer, netting 13 goals in 2023 and earning NAIA Third Team All-American honors. He added seven goals and two assists in his junior season, and his ability to finish will be a valuable asset for the Rough Riders.

The Rough Riders’ men’s team will kick off their 2025 USL League Two season against Ironbound FC on Sunday, May 18, at 6 p.m. at the Mitchel Athletic Complex in Uniondale, N.Y. This match is part of a doubleheader, with the Rough Riders women’s team playing against AC Connecticut at 3:30 p.m. Don’t miss the opportunity to see these new signings in action.
