Midfielder Tyler Morck liked his time with the Long Island Rough Riders men last year, that he will be returning for a second season.

The Bethpage, N.Y. is a redshirt junior at the University of Akron.

The 5-8, 150-lb. Morck most recently played at St. John’s University. He scored four goals and added two assists in 17 games and 10 starts over two campaigns.

During the 2024 BIG EAST season, Morck earned a whole host of honors. That included being named to the BIG EAST All-tournament team, conference Honor Roll and as a freshman of the week.

He was named No. 92 among the top 100 freshmen in 2024 by TopDrawerSoccer.com.

Morck played with the New York City FC Academy and NYCFC II in the MLS NEXT Academy.

At Bethpage High School on Long Island, Morck played soccer and volleyball.

He is pursuing a degree in business.

In 2025, Long Island finished second in the Metropolitan Division with a 9-2-1 record and qualified for the playoffs.

The Rough Riders will return to action this spring. The team will open its season at New Jersey Copa FC on May 20 before hosting Staten Island ASC in its home opener at Mitchel Athletic Complex on May 27 at 7 p.m. Buy Tickets.
