Jack Stainrod, Long Island University
Senior forward Jack Stainrod, who finished tied for third place among USL League Two goal-scorers last summer, completed the Sharks’ season with three goals and a team-best nine assists. He started all 15 matches.
A Barnsley, England native, Stainrod is business administration and finance major. He transferred from Dalton State, where he was an NAIA All-American and national champion.
His most memorable match was an impressive four-assist performance in a 5-2 triumph over Quinnipiac University on Sept. 16.
LIU finished the season at 8-3-7 after dropping a 2-0 decision to Saint Francis in the Northeast Conference tournament on Nov. 13.
Justin McLean, North Carolina State
Senior midfielder Justin McLean, a standout on the Rough Riders, helped N.C. State reach the NCAA Division I tournament Sweet 16. State defeated Marshall University, 2-0, on Nov. 23.
N.C. State (13-2-4) was set to host UNC Greensboro at Dail Soccer Stadium in Raleigh, N.C. on Sunday, Nov. 30.
The 6-foot, 165-lb. McLean has scored three goals and added four assists this campaign.
Jakob Friedman, Monmouth University
Senior forward Jakob Friedman finished an excellent season for Monmouth University, having scored four goals and collecting a career-high eight assists, leading the Hawks in scoring. Both numbers led Monmouth. He was selected as a second team All-Coastal Athletic Association in voting done by the league’s head coaches.
The Nesconset, N.Y. native also ranked second in the CAA for assists and fourth in points per game (1.00) and scored a goal in three consecutive matches to start October.
The St. Anthony High School graduate recorded two assists in two matches, a 3-2 victory at Drexel University on Sept. 6 and repeating his production in a 2-0 home win over Temple University on Sept. 26.
The Rough Riders finished second in the Metropolitan Division with a 9-2-1 record and reached the USL League Two playoffs.
They will return to action in May 2026.
