Nakai Antoine will be spending his summer not too far from his Baldwin, N.Y. home.
That’s because he will be performing for the Long Island Rough Riders men in USL League Two once again.
The 6-foot-1, 180-lb. defender is a redshirt sophomore who did not play in any games as a freshman, although he hit the books and was named to the 2024-25 Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Honor Roll.

He finally got a chance to play during the 2025 season. He averaged 24 minutes of each over nine games, although he did not register a goal or an assist.
Antoine had good building blocks in sport, having played his soccer at B.W. Gottschee in the Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League.
In 2925, Long Island finished second in the Metropolitan Division as it qualified for the playoffs on the strength of a 9-1-2 record.
The Rough Riders will kick off their 2026 USL League Two season at New Jersey Copa FC on May 20 at 5 p.m. They are scheduled to host Staten Island ASC in their home opener at Mitchel Athletic Complex in Uniondale, N.Y. on May 27 at 7 p.m. Buy Tickets.
