The next stop for Jessica Garziano is women’s professional soccer.

Garziano, who played with the Long Island Rough Riders the past two USL W-League seasons, has signed with Brooklyn Football Club in the fledgling USL Super League.

The midfielder’s signing is pending league and federation approval.

Garziano played a key role in helping the Rough Riders capture the Metropolitan Division of the USL W League this season.

“Signing Jessica to the Brooklyn team was an easy choice for us,” Brooklyn FC CEO Max Mansfield said in a statement. “We are excited to see her shine on the field as she’s already proven to have what it takes to be a star, having had one of the most decorated careers with the Long Island Riders and at St. John’s.”

Showcasing her potential, Garziano became the fourth player in St. John’s history to earn All-American honors, recording 10 goals and 11 assists. The Melville, N.Y. native was named the Big East midfielder of the year and became only the third Red Storm player to receive conference honors four times.

“It’s such an honor to join Brooklyn FC,” Garziano said in a statement. “I’m excited to continue my professional career in a city so close to my heart, and beyond grateful to be a part of the team making Brooklyn home for professional women’s football. This opportunity is a homecoming for me, and I’m honored to be back where it all began.”

Brooklyn FC will kick off its inaugural campaign in August and will have a fall-spring  schedule.
