Rough Riders Add Four to 2025 USL W Roster

The Long Island Rough Riders women have announced four more signings for the
upcoming USL W League season.

They are Gianna Paul, Reese Dunaway, Thalia Morisi and Fiona Killian.

Gianna Paul, forward

After earning All-Southeast Conference honors for the second successive year last
month, the University of Alabama standout Gianna Paul was named a United Soccer
Coaches All-American. She was selected to the fourth team, becoming only the fourth
player in Crimson Tide history to earn All-America honors.

A Huntington Station, N.Y. native, Paul also earned All-Southeast Conference first team
honors after a ground-breaking season for the junior, finishing the season with a team-
and career-high 12 goals and 25 points. She also assisted on a goal.

Paul also earned United Soccer Coaches All-American Scholar honors last year. She
was named SEC freshman of the year in 2022, while being selected to the conference’s
all-freshman team.

As a two-time All-Suffolk County selection at Walt Whitman High School, Paul captured
a host of honors, including being named to the All-Long Island team and Suffolk’s big
school offensive player of the year. She also competed in track and field, earning All-
New York State honors twice and All-County honors four times.

Given her goal production history, the 5-10 Paul is expected to play a key role for the
Rough Riders this season.

Reese Dunaway, defender

As a sophomore, Dunaway played and started 18 games for St. John’s University last
fall. The Mars, Pa. resident lettered in soccer for four years at Mars Area High School,
already the team to three undefeated seasons from 2019-21.

The 5-5 Dunaway played for the Beadling Soccer Club, earning All-Section honors in
2021 and 2022. She was a State and Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic
League champion from 2019-21.

Dunaway choose the Red Storm over Purdue University, University of Maryland,
American University and the University of Cincinnati. Her older sister, Gracie Dunaway,
attended Purdue and played soccer there.

Thalia Morisi, midfielder

Morisi, who will be a senior at the University of Kentucky this fall, transferred to the
school after spending her first three college seasons at Old Dominion University. The
Massapequa Park, N.Y. native registered two assists as a junior last fall.

At Old Dominion, the 5-4 Morisi scored four goals and added an assist as she was
named to the Sun Belt Conference All-Tournament team. She also was chosen College
Sports College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree.

Morisi played a big role in leading Massapequa to the 2021 state championship while
being named MVP. She also was chosen to the All-New York first team and All-Long
Island first team.

She is a biology major at UK.

Fiona Killian, midfielder

Returning to the Rough Riders for another season, the Levittown, N.Y. native recorded a
goal and two assists for Temple University last year.

The 5-4 Killian started her college career at Xavier University before transferring to
Temple.

Prior to college, Killian helped MacArthur High School to the 2019 Class A1 Conference
title with a 15-2-2 record. Two years later, she was team captain while scoring seven
goals and contributing 11 assists and earning first team All-New York State honors and
conference player of the year accolades.

Killian also played 10 years in youth soccer, winning the U.S. Futsal national
championship.

The Rough Riders kick off their 2025 season, hosting AC Connecticut at Mitchel Athletic
Complex in Uniondale, N.Y. on Sunday, May 18 at 3:30 p.m.
