The Long Island Rough Riders men’s and women’s teams will find themselves in familiar territory when their respective league seasons kick off in May.

Both squads will play in the Metropolitan Division. The women compete in the USL W League, the men in USL League Two.

The men will play against eight divisional foes from the 2022 season. That includes regular season champion Manhattan SC, Cedar Stars Rush, FA Euro New York, FC Motown STA, Hudson Valley Hammers, Morris Elite SC, New Jersey Copa FC and Westchester Flame. Ironbound SC of New Jersey is the newcomer to the division.

The Rough Riders women will tussle with seven teams. Their opposition will include division champion Morris Elite SC, Cedar Stars, AC Connecticut, Manhattan SC, FA Euro New York, and Westchester Flames. Paisley Athletic FC joins the division for the 2023 campaign.

The schedules for both teams will be announced soon.

Both Long Island teams are coming off highly successful season. The Rough Riders men reached the League Two championship game, dropping a 2-1 decision to the Ventura County Fusion. The women booked a spot in the W League playoffs.
