Megan Allaway USL W Coach

In celebration of Women’s History Month, Megan Allaway visited The American Dream School to lead interactive workshops for high school students around a powerful theme: “Limitless.”

As First Team Coach, Megan shared her personal journey in sports, highlighting how athletics shaped her confidence, leadership, and perspective on life. Rather than dwelling on challenges women face, she chose to focus on opportunity and potential.

“I’m not here to focus on the obstacles women encounter every day,” Megan told the students. “We already navigate those every day. Instead, I want to focus on something far more powerful: everything women can accomplish.”

Through conversations and hands-on activities, students explored ambition, resilience, and how sports and personal passions can build confidence and discipline. The overarching message of the day centered on possibility.

“Women are not defined by limitations; we’re defined by resilience, creativity, and ambition. When we decide our goals matter, and that we’re worthy of pursuing them—that’s when real progress happens.”

The workshop concluded with a quote from Olympic champion Jessica Ennis-Hill that encapsulated the spirit of the session: “The only limitations are the ones you put on yourself.”

Megan encouraged students to challenge limits—whether external expectations or internal doubts—and pursue their ambitions with confidence. Her visit reinforced her role as a leading figure in the Rough Riders organization, demonstrating that achieving your dreams in sports is possible.

The event was part of the school’s Women’s History Month programming, which celebrates leadership, perseverance, and impact. For many students, hearing directly from a professional in sports and youth development made the message especially meaningful.
