The Long Island Rough Riders are pleased to announce the signing of two Long Island natives, Mikayla Camp and Mallory Anderson, as the club continues to build its roster for the 2026 USL W League season this summer.
For the Rough Riders, signing local talent is nothing new. The club has long maintained deep roots in the Long Island soccer community, and both Camp and Anderson represent exactly the kind of homegrown players the organization takes pride in bringing home.
Camp, a 19-year-old forward from Syosset, developed through the Long Island Soccer Club before heading south to compete at the collegiate level at Emory University. Anderson, also 19, has a particularly close connection to the organization — the Saint James native came up through the Long Island Soccer Club, which shares a longstanding affiliation with the Rough Riders, before earning a Division I scholarship to Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, where she lines up on the wing.
Both players were well known to the Rough Riders coaching staff long before they signed, having built their reputations on Long Island fields before taking their games to the collegiate level. Their return to Long Island this summer brings their journey full circle.
The Rough Riders look forward to welcoming both players as they continue preparations for the 2026 USL W season.
The Rough Riders women open their 2026 campaign with four consecutive road games. They play at Manhattan SC (May 20), Morris Elite SC (May 23), NJ Copa FC (May 30) and Cedar Stars (June 4) before welcoming Morris Elite SC for their home opener at Mitchel Athletic Complex in Uniondale, N.Y. on June 7.
